My class on Go

Over the last couple of years I’ve developed and taught a class on Go for folks who already know another programming language.

I’ve been asked to teach it again, but given the current state of things, and the need to have more than a few folks sign up before it makes sense to do “in person” teaching (even through video), it made more sense to record it.

That’s also given me a chance to improve it — more live coding, fewer slides (yay!) and both (a) be less constrained by time, and (b) break it into chunks that can be viewed independently.

Of course, it’s also an experiment in video production, something I’ve not done before. There will be a few rough spots and the occasional senior moment captured for posterity.

Please look it up on YouTube and subscribe to see new parts as they appear — there’s more to come! And please, please provide feedback: what works and what doesn’t help you learn Go.
